Tristan Kerr, Type based Artist and Designer, was engaged by Ceduna Aboriginal Arts Centre to spend 3 weeks in the remote South Australian town with 3 established Aboriginal artists based in native Wirangu country. The project consisted of an experimental skills development workshop, along with an 18 metre Public Art Mural in the heart of the town, investigating traditional 'Western' Sign-painting and letter construction principles with 'Indigenous' language, mark-making, symbolism and story telling.
