Wearable Jewelry Ring syncs with Apple Watch
Created and Designed 3rd Party App called, 'Dandi' that downloads to Apple Watch and collects data to establish accurate recordings of a woman's fertile period during her monthly cycle. Ring has a built-in Basal Body Temperature (BBT) thermometer device to accurately take temperature in real time. Jewelry notifies her by gently vibrating the ring, and sending a notification to Dandi App when her fertile cycle has begun. App collects data and becomes smarter and smarter the longer it is worn and soon can predict not only past and present, but also future fertile days. The outcome is a real time app that presents information in a Data Visualization design to help a woman become pregnant in a healthy smart modern way.

Created / Designed Dandi App Interface with quick action screens: Look Notifications, App Dock, and three menu items that are important to acquire real time information for Cycle days, Temperature readings, and insightful information to minimize stress and promote a healthy lifestyle to help enhance chances of becoming pregnant. Designed with Data Visualization model, algorithm building, and GPS locator that directs user to native Apple Maps app.
Visual Design branding is created throughout medias to help product become popular to consumer and become a go-to-app for conception and fertility.
CHALLENGES: My Approach + My Resolution
Most important, research latest iOS system for the Apple Watch. OS3 removed the Glance screen and replaced with App Dock screen, which really isn't different visually or interactively but as a Visual Designer it's good to know what visual designs/interactions has changed, it can make your approach change drastically or very little.
-Interface design is challenging on smart watch devices, so coming up with iconography concepts is a good idea to help keep real-estate at it's most spacious. My icons were to be concise, modern, but with a retro feel and most importantly recognizable to the user. I also wanted to stay with Data Visualization designs as much as possible but keep a branded feel to this very important challenge: Charts and Graphs.
-Two most important features of this app interface is to retrieve important information in regards to where you are in your fertility monthly cycle, and your Body Basal Temperature during each month.
-The wearable ring will record your temperature each day and over time the algorithm acquisition will begin to predict not only past and present but future fertility cycles as well.
-Each month when one becomes fertile, the ring will gently vibrate to indicate you are ready to conceive. The ring will send a notification to your Apple Watch 3rd party app: 'Dandi' and others' can also be part of this app notification once their Apple watches are synced with the app.
