Continuing Medical Education | 2017 Advances in Colorectal Oncology
The 2017 Advances in Colorectal Oncology course was the centennial symposium for colorectal oncology at the hospital. As a result Jessica Bauer and I worked extensively to create extraordinary design materials that reflected the significance of the event.
The design process began with the creation of a recognizable brand that will be utilized for years to come. I designed a simple logo featuring the course title, year, and an illustration of the digestive tract. The year and colors used in the logo can be updated in the future to reflect the current year's branding. In addition, I created a second logo specifically for the centennial.
The course directors requested the creation of a timeline featuring important events in both the history of colorectal cancer at the hospital and the rest of the world. This seven-foot long poster was displayed prominently at the event. I worked on this project from the initial proposal to the development of the final design concept. Jessica refined the final design.
I assisted with the layout and design of the digital brochure, a full-color print advertisement, Twitter graphic, event posters, and booklet.
