MATURING OBJECT FOR THE HUNGARIAN BRANDY - PÁLINKA
Thesis
In my thesis, I am introducing the concept of the undesigned design from the user and designer's perspective. I am studying how the designer can provide different solutions for a unique creation, what kind of external forces can be used to achieve an unrepeatable result, and how the designer can make intentionally unsettled creations that seem to the user like an unplanned approach, yet representing an aesthetic quality.
ENG - SICRA – The Unplannable Poured into Form - The duality of distilled fruits: a designed form and a free-form content. The interaction of the internal and the external, continuously shaping one another, always yielding an unplannable result. Charring and different wood varieties create an ever-changing pálinka that only ennobles with time, each type showcasing a unique flavour. The consumer is involved in the maturation process, as the producer draws attention to eating slowly and attentively, reflecting on the lengthy process of pálinka production.
HU - SICRA - Formába öntött tervezetlenség - A Sicra egy tervezett forma és egy tervezetlen belső tartalom, a gyümölcspárlat kettőse. A külső és belső kölcsönhatása, egymás formálása és egy egyedi tervezetlen végtermék létrehozása. Az égetésnek és a különböző fafajtáknak köszönhetően, a pálinka folyamatosan változik és nemesedik, az idő múlásával mindegyikükben más-más, egyedi íz jön létre. Az érlelő a felhasználót bevonva az alkotási folyamatba , a lassú odafigyelő, hagyományos és nemes táplálkozásra irányítja a figyelmet, reflektálva a pálinka előállítás hosszadalmas folyamatára.
