While I was recovering from a prolonged illness, I used the time to explore digital illustration as I never had before. While I used digital skills in everyday design, I had never had time to explore longer, more intricate illustrations with those skills. This turned into a fascinating exercise where I tried to create complex vector replications of my own personal hand-drawn and inked sketches.
There is something satisfying about the clean lines of vectors, but once they were in place, it felt like there was something missing -
perhaps the emotion and beauty of imperfection.
It was almost a craving that lead me to create physical copies of these vector drawings.
Through accident and touch, it lead to some wonderful experiments that played between the analog and digital.
