Sheffield F.C. Branding Concept

Sheffield F.C. Branding Concept
A fictional rebranding of the oldest running Football Club.
With football being in its new era of rebranding, from the Premier League completely revamping their look, to Juventus adopting an incredibly modern looking new logo for the next season, I decided to give myself a task of attempting to rebrand the oldest running football club in the world.
Focusing on a design which incorporates all the key elements of the previous Sheffield F.C. crests, as well as adding some other elements reminiscent of early football and the city of Sheffield, I created a design entirely based on symbolism. Breaking down each of the componenets of the design we can cover which each means one by one.
From left to right, we can cover which symbol represents what. The football vector, coupled with the date of the club's founding, is a repesentation of the club's rich history and formation. The crossed arrows influenced from the Sheffield Coat of Arms. The half and half shield represents the two sides of football, a game of two sides of 11 men. And then the SFC emblem being a representation of the old common style of crest, still used by clubs such as Rangers, Queens Park Rangers and several clubs in Brazil such as Flamengo, Vitoria and Internacional.
Thank you
