For me the joy of photography stems from showing others the way that you see the world and presenting your unique view. It’s about influencing peoples thoughts about how they see and to have them reflect on how they interact with their surroundings. When the sun sets, people become even less observant of the things around them and don’t stop to notice how the streetlights and neon signs play with the buildings around them. Everyone sees it happening but very few stop and notice it. The camera allows me to focus on this interaction and bring in my love of architecture and East Texas to present for many, a new way to look at the world.

When taking these photos, I present them how they truly are using only the surrounding lights. These buildings are completely isolated and in all of my travels the only people I saw were cars driving by the highway. Usually taken in the dead of night, there is nothing around to distract from the buildings and their enviroments.
