Environments - A Home of the 70's

Little by little I'm creating an art concept portfolio for animation. I started to draw lines and realized that I feel very influenced by the concept of art that comes from the animation studios of the US, which I like but it is also true that I never state (any day I'm going to Tourism!) And what is known about everything related to films, documentaries, ... of "Spaniards around the World" ... :D

I felt that what I was doing at the time was not "authentic" and that if, for example, I want my portfolio to stand out among those of colleagues who actually come from there, their environments would have more "essence"; Even if they were imaginary they will be more impregnated with real experiences, even emotions and, in the end, my designs would end up being judged more by the technique than by something more of emotional, would be a more drawing.

I thought about what I can do to get that, to give my design some excitement and I came to the conclusion that part of memories of sites in which the state and have recorded the details of themselves in my memories achieve that touch :)
How well has it been?

These concepts are inspired by a place that I love. Here is some interior design? Spanish of the working class of the 70s.
And a step by step !!
In both cases I have worked the same way, I will show you the development of the bedroom set.
I usually do the sketch by pulling lines from the "box" that will be the room, I put the furniture ... (a little play "The Sims": D). I attach great importance to where I place the light sources as lamps or, in this case, windows because they give me a lot of play to represent the lighting of light that enveloped the feeling I remember.
Then I make a sketch of color, I try the base colors that are going to predominate.
Then I outline the shapes, state which areas are going to be textured and add details.
The light.
I put the light on, I give enough turns to this! What color, where it comes, how and what falls ... I especially like the light that passes between the blinds and marks on the floor.
And the shadows, of course.
And finally I give a touch of color that closes the feeling that should give the concept.
I like that I tell a story and that the details allow to imagine how the characters that go through here.

Got it?
