Setting up the image planes/Concept Art
Before I start modeling the character, I needed to set up image planes. These are pictures of the character design, concept art for building the 3D model.
Extruding edges and faces
Extruding using powerful tools is a way to create new shapes and structures in the polygonal meshes.
Enhancing Shapes
Shaping the body structure.
Modeling the Character
Shaping the body structure and finalizing the model for the next stage.
UVW maps
3ds Max's Peel tools are a great leap forward over the older methods of creating UVW maps. I personally found it much faster and easier to use, especially for character models.
This is the last step on the project, Still, there is a lot to do with texture and graphics. I will provide these skills with working with Maya.
