‘Warum Altbier?’ was a book project created during my studies at the University Of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. It is a book that focusses on Altbier culture in Düsseldorf, Germany. Myself and Ihsan Sönmezoglu researched 4 breweries and pubs located in the Düsseldorf Altstadt. I created 4 illustrations which represent each brewery along with numerous smaller illustrations which appear throughout the book. I also developed a hand-drawn typeface which was used for quotes.
