This is the first in a series of short skits that I wrote and performed, including the voice-acting, for Tentmaker.org. I've also done a lot of work on the design of the website, using just Notepad to code and Filezilla to upload. That was because the website has been around since 1998, has an encyclopedic number of pages on it, and had quite a bit of traffic at the time. So transitioning it to WordPress seemed possibly more painful than it was worth.

The website is only getting between 100,000 - 200,000 visits per month right now, which isn't to be laughed at, except when compared with the traffic it got years ago. There just hasn't been the time and resources to maintain the site as well as it needs to be.

I developed all of these skits from start to finish within 36 hours. They are still just the initial drafts, and were made to begin testing how we might expand our capabilities to better reach certain demographics.

There is no context for the above skit, except that we had two shellfish puppets roaming about the house, demanding that we make some absurd use of them. I do, however, feel the need to provide a bit of context for the skit below, which starts with a verse from the Christian Bible. 

Tentmaker.org's primary objective is to propagate Christian Universalism, which is a version of Christianity that refuses to believe in the existence of an eternal "hell". In fact, the website insists that eventually everyone who has ever lived or ever will live will be united to God, and enjoy all the bliss that should go along with that.

I strongly support the spirit of the website. I believe it serves as a sort of antivirus in a roiling memetic ocean, which has so many times dashed upon the rocks humanity's finest attempts to rise above the terror of being and into the upper realms yet unknown.

The mission of Tentmaker.org can also explain why I wrote the next clip. Wait, no, it can't. I'm going to have to fall back on what I said earlier about beginning to test "how we might expand out capabilities to better reach certain demographics". That still sounds like a reasonable explanation.

So the new demographics we wanted to reach really do justify having that particular set of puppets on hand. I'm hoping this is finally starting to make a bit more sense.

Yeah. Ok, I've got nothing.

And for the grand finale...
