RIDDLE
Riddle is a personal book about the missing history of the Lebanese wars; it is divided into three volumes: Void, More and Voices.
My statement for this project is "Not acknowledging the wars in my country constraints me from defining myself and my present"

The book was hand-bound with love by me between San Francisco and Oakland and printed at California College of the Arts.
Volume 1: VOID
Void is my own reflection of how little I know about the wars that happened in my country and where I only acknowledge it around me through Lebanese movies and songs, books, buildings and through the loss of my uncle in the war preventing me from meeting him.
Volume 2: MORE
More is written by my father Mustapha Chabbani; this volume is where I learn about the wars through his words, memories, journey and photographs that he took in the past during war times.
Volume 3: VOICES
Voices is the stories of people that experienced one or more Lebanese war. It includes some family members and other people that shared their journey during that time. To listen to some of the interviews, please check the website.
