The brief was asking us to create a prestigious publication that celebrates and pays homage to the life and work of Adrian Frutiger.
This publication is build based upon the universe periodic table and explores Frutiger’s most famous typefonts (Universe, Frutiger, Avenir) in, black and white; black and white being Frutiger’s destiny as he said so himself. Using letters as tools, as Frutiger did too,
to produce a manual on legibility and on the principle that only by using simple things, simple tools are we able to build something beautiful and simple.
This is how Frutiger’s life is celebrated herein.
