WEEK SEVEN- DXB302
Printing

This week we discussed printing and printing techniques. We contacted Worldwide Printing and originally we wanted to print on 90GSM paper and to have it perfect bound, but we were informed buy the printing company that we would have to heighten the paper weight in order for it to be thermal bound. Therefore they raised the text paper wight to 140gsm while the cover remained at 300GSM. We also added a 3mm bleed to each page and crop lines showing where to cut each page.
Overall

Overall I am happy with the final outcome of the magazine. I think we applied our concept of keeping the design clean and minimal really well. This was achieved through the choice of typeface, text layout, imagery layout, white space and colour palette. I think it was also interesting to see how each of these elements connected and bounced off each other, and I think that's how we know we achieved our concept well as each element seemed to work well with each other while also holding its own presence on the page (Bringhurst 2012, 143).

I have never completed a magazine before and I have defiantly learned some knew techniques that I can use later on, and even use towards aiding my interior design field.
