The Terrafugia Transition is a Roadable Aircraft, more commonly known as a flying car, developed to provide pilots the convenience of a dual-purpose vehicle. Its unique design allows the Transition to fold its wings and drive on any surface road and be parked at home in a standard size garage. This flexibility helps increase safety and ease of travel while decreasing costs and travel time. The vehicle is currently under development, testing, and certification, with anticipated customer deliveries within the year.
As one of five Vehicle Design Engineers, I have played an integral role to the design, assembly, and testing of two full-scale prototype vehicles. As the lead engineer for the vehicle suspension, brakes, steering, fuel, and exhaust systems, I have been directly responsible for the design, development, assembly, installation, and thorough testing of these systems. I have also played a key role during drive and flight testing operations as a core member of the testing team.
Many of the details regarding the design and development work I have performed at Terrafugia is proprietary to the company and cannot be posted publicly.
