Quick R&D while learning houdini.. a simple procedural marble shader
The model is a 3d scan downloaded from the awesome website: threedscans.com .
In my first attempt in learning shading inside Houdini, I built a simple procedural shader that recreates a marble look without the need for the UVs.
The rendering is done in Mantra.

Diffuse pass
Reflection pass
SSS pass
The VOP network (base_noise) responsible for creating the marble look
The base_noise shader is responsible for the basecolor component
(It also outputs a dirt mask which in the end I didn't use)
