Project from the Penguin Design Award. For the cover I used a skull asa striking symbol of death. I decided to construct the skull myselfusing aluminium wire and moulded a wire mesh around the frame. Theshape was then formed from air drying clay. The cover image is designedto draw in the viewer with simple typography, giving the image agreater impact. The flowing coloured ribbons symbolise the maincharaters last victim who was a red haired young woman. The image flowsonto the back cover leading the viewer around the book.
