This is our backyard with the garden and concrete paver path on the right.  The top is an image exported from SketchUp, which I used to help plan out the elements of the yard.  The bottom image is a photo taken from the same perpective.  Eventually all the will be covered in tiles like the ones you see below.
Currently these are all the edible plants we grow: green lettuce, red lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, arugula, green onions, garlic, broccoli, cucumbers, pumpkins, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, strawberries, grapes, blackberries, peaches, beets, carrots, parsley, cilantro, basil, mint, chamomile, dill and lemongrass.

For the guestbook for my wedding, I had guests paint tiles, which I mosaic onto our garden pavers.
