For this assignment we looked at work from Romare Bearden for inspiration. The purpose of non-destructive editing is to edit the layer without permanently damaging the layer. The non-destructive requirements we used for this project was layer mask windows, fill / adjustment layers, and fx layer style. The neighborhood I choose to show was Harlem because I live in the area and there’s arts and buildings that relate to the area’s history. Where you live can influence who you are because you’re influenced usually by what your surroundings are like. Where you live could or could not influence what you want to be since you can do what's around you or go in a completely different direction from what others do around you. For this assignment the most challenging part may be when it came to placing images onto the canvas. Next time I would probably try to get images i can easily place as well as learn how to better place images.
