Blackwood Court
"A key part of identifying a site is its signage, and it couldn’t be more important to get that right than when it’s used for a site within a prime commercial and business district.
Located on Teal Park just south of Lincoln, Blackwood Court comprises 19 workshop units that range in size from 500 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft and are aimed at small start-up businesses.
Following a competitive pitch, Allen Signs was commissioned by North Kesteven District Council to manage the branding and signage for the £2m development of Blackwood Court.
Our in-house graphic designer developed some creative ideas to present to the client and, once construction work was under way, we revised our initial concepts to ensure that the design and materials used reflected the style of the buildings as well as the name.
We also manufactured and installed the signage at the site, which attracted applications and strong interest soon after officially opening.
Blackwood Court now houses a variety of start-up, relocating and expanding businesses and, although we work for a range of clients across the UK, it’s always satisfying to work with other Lincolnshire-based firms and support the local economy".
