This Play House comes with multiple 3-dimensional walls of different sizes, every wall surface is different and features typical wall textures used in real architectures. The set also features punch-out furnitures with reversible surfaces, wall decals of furnitures inspired by the furniture collection at MoMA, and flat graphics with carpet and flooring textures. The nesting box design allows for a compact and cost effective solution for this playhouse. The outermost box serves as both packaging and play house walls.

Modern Family Design Sketches

As an add-on to the Play House, we were tasked to come up with a design for a family set that can be played with the house. These figures need to be compatible with the Play House in terms of scale and graphics. The solution we came up with was to build the figures out of paper, just like the punch-out furnitures of the Play House. This leaves us a bit of room for additional items, such as house pets, detachable clothing decals. Unfortunately, my fellowship period ended right after the design development stage. Shown below are sketches and early renditions of patterns for the garment decals.
