The brief for this project was to think about a child product made of Apinat Bio, a biodegradable and compostable aterial which is similar tmo silicon. My intent was to valorize the material without using an excessive amount of it, because of its high cost.
What i did was a set of morbid toys of five different shapes. Everyone of those shapes, if turned over, becomes another shape, keeping a "connection" between the first and the second form: so, an apple becomes a leaf, a cat becomes a fish, a sun becomes a flower and so on.
Thinking about five forms containing both of those correlated shapes, considering the behavior of the elastic material, was really hard without any software to do it.
To induce the child to play in a correct way, the set includes 12 illustrated card, made of resistent cardboard. They present both of the shapes of a form in an only image, so the child can easily undestand the correlation between the two of them while he's having fun.
In the back of every cardboard there's a little story about the image on the front.
