Brief of the project
Design Laptop sleeves by using Heritage theme. Which should reflect Indian heritage. Make Laptop sleeves with less ornamentation and locally available materials.
Heritage
Heritage means what we inherit from our ancestors and from our past. India is blessed with a vast and rich heritage. One has only to see the various architectural marvels and cultural institutions that dot the geographical expanse of India to glimpse the richness of our heritage. There is a harmonious blend of art, religion and philosophy in the Indian culture. Indian culture is actually an outcome of continuous synthesis and has absorbed many external influences in the course of long jurney of history. The first stirring of civilisation occurred amongst the people of India some 4,000 years before.

User Survey
According to user survey there are 75% people who prefer to use laptop sleeve, and other 25% use laptop bag or they just don't use anything.
These days people prefer to use different, comfortable and easy to use products. They buy products when they are visualy appealing.
Trend
According to trend study printed laptop sleeves and felt material are in trend.
Scope
There are many laptop sleeves available in market and most of them are made with printed fabrics or felt, so I can also think of these products with different materials and techniques.
Concept development
After understanding the theme and scope I started simplifying monuments of India. And started working on how I can use the elements of it for Laptop sleeves.
I chose three simplified monuments from this.
1) Taj mahal
2) India gate
3) Charminar
Final Concepts
Here I used the parts of monument as a detailing of laptop sleeve.
Material outsourcing
For materials I went to some local markets in Ahmedabad.
Got fabrics, lining, fusing, foam and some metal accessories.
