A series of work based on the female form
My work makesenquiries about the human condition. Themes of memory, gender and identity areexplored through the process of painting, printmaking and photography.

My latest work bridges a gapbetween traditional printmaking and lens-based media. My love of history hasled me to experiment with traditional photographic processes, in particularCyanotype also known as blueprint. With this photochemical process, I haveincorporated both modern day and Victorian technologies.

I utilise acetate film to make digitaltransparencies and a formula of light sensitive solution that was firstintroduced by John Herschel in 1842. The paper is exposed to ultraviolet lightand a chemical reaction generates an insoluble Prussian blue.

Abstract forms are deliberately ambiguouswith distortions andimperfections allowing for a more complex reading of the body.
