Design goals
We designed 8 shapes of kitchen utensils for Czech brand BANQUET. Our goal was to create well functioning, nice looking kitchen tools for wide range of customers. Utensils had to be light, but firm and not very expensive.
We focused mainly on ergonomy and multi-purpose use.

"U" shaped handle is main and significant feature of the collection. On the one hand, handle is "U"-shaped for better grip. Thumb fits exactly to the hollow and makes using of the utensils more comfortable.
On the other hand, we needed to manufacture very light tools to reduce the cost ofthe material and transport. Therefore the "U" profile prevents subtle handle to bend and makes it firmer.
Another goal was to reduce amount of used tools during cooking. Therefore almost every utensil can be used in more ways. We studied cooking activities and chose features, which could be combined in the utensils.
Very aesthetic and elegant look of the utensils is achieved by smooth and sophisticated connection between handle and functional part.
