Storytelling in Virtual Reality
Journey for Elysium will immerse players in a fictional setting that takes inspiration from Greek and Roman myths. The player takes on the role of an unnamed warrior who has died on the battlefield and now finds himself on a boat in Penumbra hovering somewhere between life and death. The player must use all his wit and skills to overcome a series of increasingly elaborate twists and challenges to reach Elysium and obtain redemption.

More than a website


We wanted the game website to reflect the key values of the game by re-creating the level of immersion players will come to experience in the actual game. When  accessing the website, users will use the keyboard to navigate their boat through the realm of Hades. Through 'point & click' interactions they solve puzzles, unlock new areas and unlock unique content for the upcoming VR title: Journey for Elysium

THE PROTOTYPE
Vertical Slice


To accompany our game document we created a vertical slice of the intro segment of the game. It was important for us to show how  our visual style would translate to a virtual reality environment. Together with my team we created the concept art, 3D models, level and sound design required to build our prototype in Unity.
