Instructional Scheduling Assistant

This project started in January 2016 and is currently under development. It addresses the class scheduling process for all of UC San Diego, serving the needs of the administrators and instructors from over 100 departments. I've been acting as a UI/UX designer and project manager, cycling through requirements gathering/spec refinement, user research, sketching/ideation, wireframing, prototyping, user feedback, and design iterations. I started by conducting an intense series of User Story Mapping exercises with a group of 5-7 stakeholders. We held multiple sessions which I then transferred to Storiesonboard.com and broke up into digestible pieces in JIRA and then worked with my dev team to further detail the technical requirements. My team includes 2 back-end developers, a front-end engineer, and a business process analyst/portfolio manager, with input from a couple workgroups and steering committees. I've done followup User Story Maps on critical sub-processes, and have been running daily stand-ups, biweekly team meetings, monthly advisory committee meetings, and have performed over 30 demos to stakeholder groups at all levels across campus.
