My task was to Design a 3 D printed product for the disadvantaged in the UK.
I decided to concentrate my research on alcoholism and the Detox / Rehabilitation programme that is put in place for Alcoholics to safely detox from alcohol.
When leaving the detox unit there is a gap where patients are on their own without any help from trained medical staff or counselling.
My 3 D printed product is a dice that would hold all of the keywords that the patient had learnt in their counselling sessions. The dice would be kept on them to remind them of the counselling they had whilst in the rehabilitation unit.
The sobriety dice can be rolled when the patient is feeling stressed or anxious using the three 'R' tool Roll, Remember and Relax helping the patient stay focused on their sobriety.
