This cross-cultural project combined packaging and design styles from Italy and Mexico to package a wine bottle and two glasses. Vino, Spanish for wine, has the exterior of Italy. With a glossy white pattern enlarged and placed on a white box, the only pop of color is the burgundy of the logo. The interior hits you with the bright colors and elaborate pattern of Mexico. The pattern mimics the exterior and is scaled down to make the biggest impact. Traditional Mexican fabrics inspire the colors and pattern. The wine bottle and glasses were etched with the same enlarged pattern as the exterior of the box. Etching on the glasses uses the most prominent part of the pattern instead of imitating it as the wine bottle does.
