The Bee's Knees packaging project combined some of my favorite aspects of design and illustration with my love for honey mead and beer packaging. This particular design was based on elements of 1920s art deco illustration and graphic design.
Aside from just designing the box templates, logos, and labels, creating the whole package also included building a physical prototype. We concluded the project with a photoshoot. I designed and directed the photoshoot, staging props and crafting each "scene" to look just right.
The Bee's Knees mascot is a 1920s circus performer whose costume has certain bee accents. This was painted digitally in Photoshop.
