Type-collective High on Type had their first big event in May 2017, fully packed with workshops, lectures, a party and an exposition. This poster is my submission for the exposition. Only requirements were the size and that it would be screenprinted in black ink on white paper. I wanted to do a 3D alphabet where I explored abstract and geometric letter shapes. It was a lot of fun to work in 3D and turn that into a screenprint. Luckily screen print rockstar ATTAK was there to print it. First I made the white version for the screenprint. When that one was finished I had just switched to Octane Renderer, so that was the perfect opportunity for me to play around with lighting and materials and explore how an animated version would look. I haven't been doing much type or vectorlettering the past few years, but love for typography never dies. It was an absolute honour to take part in an exhibition with all these type junkies. The starting point of this project was an invitation by High On Type to
make an alphabet for their exhibition.
The alphabet was screen printed in black on white and displayed during
their first festival: All Eyes On Type.
It was an honour to take part in an exhibition with so many type heroes!
