This video is a Spoken Word created for the Visual Communication IV class at the Design Department at Western Washington University. I used a speech made by Michelle Obama that was available on creative commons. She speaks about the disrespect and fear that women experience every day. This video is my interpretation of a few words from that speech.

I have a lot of interest in women's issues and rights in today's society. When the assignment was given I knew that this subject would be perfect for a spoken word. I decided to use my own video of some very helpful friends to better represent the feelings that this speech portrays. I edited out pauses and a few words of the speech to make it short enough for the maximum of about one minute of video. 

We had about three weeks to complete the project. I used Adobe Premier and Photoshop to edit some sketches I added to the video.
