Collection „Identity Archive“ explores two issues – problem of identity and time. Ethnology and folklore are part of the history which in contemporary context by replicating, imitating, styling quietly but massively participate in the cultural distinction. Carpets with stylized folk textile motifs directly declare their affiliation since the Croatian cultural heritage hasn't recognized technique of making carpets with clearly defined motive, replication of them in the new media seems more interesting. Artistic records of the visual nature of time, such as stains, rust and/or cracks deals with issue of transience. In the chaos of information, the meaning of life becomes more unclear which is why we start to look backward, seek the sense in the traditional and the natural. Talking about durability at the time of media implosion doesn't make sense. We all become archivists of our time by recording our personal histories on various digital media. The main goal of this collection is archiving – to stop and record a piece of history in moment of transience.
