Hillside Dwelling

One of my third year University projects was positioned on a site with a steep hill. In order to deal with it I chose to follow the landscape, creating a linear arrangement of rooms that used as few interior walls as possible - instead creating separations using changes in elevation. A major aspect of this project was to focus on the relationship between residential living and work. I chose to design a living space with a work element, elevated above the rest of the unit, so as to form a distance between the two.
A selective isometric drawing of my project, explaining all the main ideas and spacial decisions.
A 1:100 model of the proposal, focusing on the building's relationship with the hillside.
A 1:20 model of one of the interior spaces, exploring the relationship between the living space (downstairs) and the work space (upstairs).
