Puma on Kite Hill

This portrait was taken in this dog's favorite place. I think the photograph conveys her sense of confident ownership of this hill. At the same time, her keen gaze never loses connection to her family, despite the openness of the landscape. I love the way the texture of her fur mirrors the texture of the grasses in this place she loves so much.
