Oil is one of the most important raw materials nowadays, but once the oil platform explodes or the oil tanker hits the rocks, hundreds of thousands of tons of oil will spill into the sea causing severe damage to the marine ecosystem. Therefore, to save lives and recover the environment from oil pollution is a race against time.

六十公尺船身的Purify Ark可以裝載大量的污油,污油存入船身後,會通過培養嗜油菌的分解槽,最後再將分解作用產生的氣體轉為電能。海洋污染不是每天發生,但一發生絕對是重大事件。Purify Ark將每次的污染變成本身電力,好進行下一次的任務。
Currently, the way we deal with oil spills requires several types of equipment which take times to arrive and operate. Plus, chemical treatments are not eco-friendly to the ocean. Since there’s limited time for rescue, we combine oil booms, disc skimmers, and oil-eating bacteria into one vehicle to make the whole process more efficient. Furthermore, the oil dissolved by bacteria will turn into electricity joining the ocean current energy to power up Purify Ark.
Purify Ark is usually placed around high-risk water areas or oil platforms. Once an oil spill happens, it will arrive at the scene immediately, deploy the oil booms in an annular array, and then open the front gate with disk skimmer to collect oil.
As soon as the oil is collected into the vehicle, it will be decomposed into hydrogen, oxygen and other gases by oil-eating bacteria. In the end, these gases will be transformed into the power of this vehicle. Purify Ark can immediately control the pollution, and meanwhile, reduce human resources, and staff risks.
