Reconstructed — Realities

This thesis investigation aimed for a new way of seeing and perceiving. It was intended to show that different ways of seeing and perceiving everyday places lead to dramatic changes regarding the definition of a non-place.
Through existing concepts, stereotypical barriers are broken seeking intrinsic freedom from seeing and feeling in order to express new realities of surrounding space. Over imagery reconstructions we search to challenge the observer to explore his individual and social self and draw conclusions about the role each place occupies or may occupy both in his everyday life as in the realization of his needs as existential being.
This project allows each individual to express his ability to adapt to new freethinking possibilities.

The final book was printed in A3.
The results achieved translate in a unique set of images reconstructed according to design and visual culture concepts together with a very specific artistic expression. Each chosen photo is the result of a deep series of feelings when captured in order to built a visual and/or emotional alphabet when reading non-places.
It was possible for us to conclude that non-places are neverending possibilities of perception and shelter to symbology, humanity and life, available to the intrinsic value each individual wants to assign it.
