I worked as one of the production designers on Moonage Daydream, a short film created by a team of USW BA (Hons) Film third year students. The film was about a young boy, Max, who dreams of going to space camp while his parents' marriage is crumbling around him. Some of my work for this film included mood boards and concept art:
Prop graphics designed for the film - this included a space camp letter that Max pulls out of his bag, and travel magazines belonging to the mother.
The production design team sourced props from local shops in and around Cardiff, and also from the set of Stella as we had links with the production designer Amelia Shankland. With a £400 budget, we were able to create a warm family home for the characters and bring Max's love of space into the bedroom set.
