objective
the goal of this project was to design a typeface by experimental methods through visual exploration and hands on experimentation with different materials to support the idea. the final deliverable was in the form of posters.
Concept
rubbish occupies land resources and living space. large quantities of rubbish not only impact beautiful natural environments, but also destroy the ecological balance. my inspiration for this work came from household rubbishes. i went to some waste dumps and searched for different kinds of waste as materials. i designed that “ugly” and “useless” waste into colorful letters. each kind of waste was designed as one letter, and then those letters made up a poster. through this work, i hoped to raise people’s awareness of protecting the environment and recycling waste.
