Fleck is a drawing machine that utilizes user interaction in order to create small paintings. Half of the machine flicks paint onto the paper while the other half uses a brush to spread the flecks of paint. As one part of the machine makes a mess, the other works to clean it up. One motion controls both elements of the machine, allowing the user to simultaneously flick the paint and brush it across the paper.

Various colors of liquid watercolor paint were added to the ink tray. Watercolor paper was used to capture the splashes and brushstrokes. These are all examples of compositions created by the machine.
