Two panels based on memories before and after I ruptured my left eardrum. While the first panel evokes calm and balance, the second portrays the flash of pain and loss of sound. Each panel utilizes personal writing about the memory paired with an external source’s words. The first panel utilizes the lyrics to Linger, a song about anticipation of longing, while the second panel uses the routine questions asked during a hearing test.
