For Comic.Con17' I challenge myself on to merging an Iconic character as Batman and adapting some of his features to our main character (Sewer). So I took on task to make a latin, poor, and slighlty clueless superhero to fit our concept for this years artworks.
For starters I couldn't forget to depict his loyal partner in crime/justice (Robin). This time I took the liberty to illustrate upon the character the same characteristics of an latin, poor and maybe not to brilliant sidekick. Moving to ridiculous speed is Kid "El Niño Diamante" making allusion to our partner in crime Kid Diamond @89kidz.
Probably not the superhero you guys could expect Bati Gordo might end up taking your lunch money...
Keeping on with the theme I decided to make an typographic visual aid to enhance the concept. Giving it a vintage - movie poster look and feel I explore a simple homage to past adventures at the local thrift stores in the search of cheap and still wearable Jordan shoes.
Having in mind that the finished product needs to end up looking like a Bootleg Movie Poster from a far away Sewer in Japan or China.
Let's not forget about that beautiful moustache!
