The Principles of Design — To begin this project, I came up with 30 different compositions using my initials and various typefaces. I then chose one composition that I thought was the strongest and turned it into a poster titled, "The Principles of Design." I chose one principle of design (balance) and demonstrated that principle by incorporating triangles into the background and two words that best describe that principle, "proportional" and "even." I then placed the word "balance" on the poster, and chose Helvetica as the typeface for this poster because of its simplicity and readability.
