I found myself one Sunday breaking out the old watercolors and paintbrushes and just basically playing with these art materials. Nothing complicated about this, really. A blob of color here, a blob there. I thought they could be balloons, and then I thought I should add a chair where they're tied.
Instead of scanning, I took a photo of it. My primary intention was to only share it on Instagram or something. As you see, it's a pretty bad photo:

I took that with my leg propped up on my bed, the watercolor paper on my lap, brushes on one hand, and the camera on the other. I could've just stood up and found more sure footing and better lighting but noooo. Anyway, I cleaned it up in Photoshop and added some shadows. The result is this:
I'm not claiming this is a great work of art. I just really like how it turned out and it's gotten me interested in painting again, no matter how simplistic my skills are. The point is, I like it. :)
