The Brief:
Design and develop an attractive exhibit for the international TV media trade fair "Jornadas ATVC 2012" that not only says "Discovery" but also communicates with the different signals of the network in a matter that is not only attractive but also rich in digital and graphic media. Some of the clients' specific requests were a private sector for business related encounters, a surface for catering supplies provided by the hotel and abundant expression of creative originality.
Execution:
The stand was designed to not only catch the eye of the visitor but to also invite them in and temporarily trigger their curiosity. The main structure was inspired by a slightly space age look with rounded corners, bright blue LED lights and a clean white finish. The private sector, enclosed by the main structure was furnished with modern white furniture and illuminated from above by two globe lights hanging from an aperture in the ceiling that also improved global illumination. The far end of the private sector presented all of the networks' signals in a visually appealing volumetric application of graphics and logos. The volumetric play of shapes, colours and logos in the exhibit created a very rich environment for the visitor and also gave way to creative applications of the brands' redesigned logo. We gave life to the stand by using two large interior LED screens and seven smaller exterior screens all looped with Discovery's amazing HD content.
We were meticulous with our attention to details and the end result showed off our effort. The constructive adjustments from conceptual design and 3d modeling to execution were minimal. The client was pleased with the final product and the success of the event.
The project was a team effort organised by the team at Fun Marketing in which my role was that of Head Designer.
