Roadside America - Colorado
Roadside America in the southwest of the USA has a peculiar but overwhelming charm. A car travel on its highways lead to outstanding well-known landscapes but also through fascinating semi-deserts. Population is sparse and one frequently encounters abandoned settlements witnessing perished mining industry and foundered business.
My series on Roadside America started in summer 2009 and continued in 2016. The current exhibition in The Fotogalerie Potsdam, Am Neuen Garten 64, 14469 Potsdam is still open to the public. One photo of the series won the travel category of the Sony World Photography Award 2017 and the Germany National Award within the SWPA. Please watch my other America pages here to see the whole series and see also https://graef-photography.de/index.php/galleries/roadside-america
