East Coast Poster

I was requested to design a simplistic poster of the East Coast. The East Coast is full of culture and history so I had a wonderful time pulling inspiration from early and modern America.

The words are set in Baskerville, one of Benjamin Franklin's favorite typefaces. Benjamin Franklin had met with the famous and controversial typographer John Baskerville and had taken back some of his type to be used in documents involved in the birth of our nation. The capitalized 'A' the two words share point out that although the East Coast has a lot of its own culture and history, we are still, above all else, part of America.

This has become the first poster in a series I'm working on. I want to create other posters for the West Coast, Midwest, and South and then possibly create more specific ones for places like the San Francisco Bay area, Harlem, etc.
