AWARE (facebook.com/awareiwsd) is a non-profit organization that strives to spread awareness on gender equality online and on-field in many ways in Chennai. Some of our projects include Child Sexual Abuse awareness, self defense classes for women, after school education for under privileged children and the latest is NoMoreNirbhaya(NMN), where they aim to create safer public spaces for women and girls in Chennai. As part of NMN they launched an initiative to identify issues in public transportation and convey it to the various players (share auto unions, MTC officials etc) and work with them in creating change.

Doodleodrama collaborated with AWARE on this campaign and we created a series of artworks based on the survey they carried out at the beginning of this campaign called "Reclaiming Safe Transportation for Women and Girls in Chennai".
