Don Miguel Burrito Packaging
WWU Graphic Design 3D | 2017 | Packaging, Branding, & Illustration

For this project we were asked to go to our campus market and pick out a food item that could use a new label and packaging. I chose the Don Miguel frozen burritos because they were lacking especially compared to some of their competitors. I wanted to create a packaging that was not only interesting but also functional.
My idea behind this burrito box was that it could be cooked inside the sleeve. This would reduce waste because users wouldn't immediately throw out the packaging and they also would have no need for the plate. Keeping busy college students in mind, I also wanted to create a box that could be used to store leftovers in, as well as easy to eat on-the-go.
The inspiration behind the illustrations was Spanish architecture and plant life found South of the border. Overall I wanted to packaging to be eye-catching and fun.
