These instructional design model infographics were created using PiktoChart (ADDIE and SAM) and Illustrator (Gradual Release and Rapid Prototyping). They were designed as reference charts for educators to use in creating learning modules. These reminders help educators or curriculum designers create more effective learning objects.
The ADDIE model can be seen above. It is a slower design process consisting of five steps. The pros and cons of the model can be clearly seen in the infographic.
The SAM model is a bit faster than the ADDIE model, and comes with its own pros and cons.
The Gradual Release infographic was created to reflect the design choices made with the ADDIE and SAM models, but was created using Illustrator.
Designing the infographic for Rapid Prototyping was different because it incorporates the ADDIE model. Using the same graphics as those used for the ADDIE infographic helps communicate that relationship and integration.
